Kim Young-shin, Director of KIAT, Visits SMEs to Encourage... "Will Actively Support"

On-site Meeting Held at Izen Implant Headquarters

The Small and Medium Business Technology Information Promotion Agency (SMBA Tech Info Agency) announced on the 28th that it held an on-site meeting to enhance customer satisfaction with small and medium-sized enterprises' research and development (R&D).

This meeting was the first of the year and was held with companies selected as the 'Top 50 Small and Medium Enterprise R&D Achievements' last year, along with CEO Kim Juseok of Izen Implant. Izen Implant, established in 2016 and located in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, was selected last year as an excellent company in commercialization growth among the Top 50 Small and Medium Enterprise R&D Achievements. The Top 50 Small and Medium Enterprise R&D Achievements is an award system created to encourage companies that have successfully completed or are currently conducting R&D supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups over the past five years.

Kim Youngshin, president of the SMBA Tech Info Agency, visited Izen Implant's Hwaseong headquarters to check the production process of major products and held a meeting with CEO Kim to listen to his reflections and opinions on national research and development projects, including the selection as one of the Top 50 Small and Medium Enterprise R&D Achievements. At the meeting, CEO Kim said, "Thanks to the small and medium enterprise R&D support project, it was helpful in securing funding for product approval and licensing during the new product development process and in meeting development deadlines."

President Kim emphasized, "The case of Izen Implant shows that small and medium enterprise R&D can serve as a stepping stone for entering overseas markets," adding, "Going forward, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the SMBA Tech Info Agency will actively work to ensure that Izen Implant's excellent achievements are actively expanded to manufacturing small and medium venture enterprises."
