First Trial Scheduled for March 10
Four individuals, including the 'Green Jumper Man' who broke windows and glass doors to trespass during the Seoul Western District Court disturbance, have been brought to trial.
The Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 27th that it had arrested and indicted four men in their 20s, including Mr. A, on charges such as special trespassing over the course of two days starting the previous day.
Mr. A, known as the 'Green Jumper Man,' is accused of breaking the security device on the court's glass door and damaging windows with a fire extinguisher during the Western District Court disturbance on the 19th of last month. He is also charged with spraying a fire extinguisher at the police. Although suspicions arose among supporters of President Yoon Seok-yeol that Mr. A was a journalist from a media company, this was confirmed to be untrue. He was arrested by the police on the 2nd.
As of this date, a total of 74 people have been indicted for the Western District Court disturbance. Their first trial will be held at the Western District Court on March 10.
