Gokseong County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Jo Sangrae) announced on the 27th that it had signed a consignment agreement with Jeonnam Development Corporation at the county office on the 26th to promote the "Gokseong-style Youth Housing Town Project."
The Gokseong Youth Housing Town is a public rental housing project aimed at providing young people with a stable residential environment to encourage them to settle in the region, thereby overcoming the crisis of local extinction and revitalizing the local economy. A total of 70 units will be supplied to young people without homes who have their address in Gokseong: 28 units for newlyweds and 42 units for youth.
The county will support the provision of land and securing the project budget, while Jeonnam Development Corporation will be responsible for constructing the apartment buildings, carrying out the necessary licensing procedures, and managing quality through the Construction Safety and Health Management System (KOSHA-MS).
Governor Jo Sangrae emphasized, "We expect this project to provide a stable residential environment for local youth," adding, "We will continue to discover various projects and policies to overcome the crisis of local extinction and do our best to increase the resident population and revitalize the local economy."
