A Hamas official involved in the war with Israel condemned a video titled 'Gaza Plan' posted by U.S. President Donald Trump on social media on the 25th (local time) as a "shameful video."

According to CNN on the 26th (local time), Ismail Al-Sawabta, director of the government media office operated by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, stated, "This video and its humiliating content distort reality and reveal a racist colonial mindset that seeks to justify the invader's crimes," adding, "Portraying the Gaza Strip as if it were an uninhabited land is an attempt to justify the 'ethnic cleansing' currently being carried out by Israel with the backing of the United States."

Wasel Abu Yusuf, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), also criticized the video in an interview with CNN, saying, "This video is nothing more than a ridiculous deception," and "There will be no resorts or Middle Eastern Riviera (Mediterranean resort city)." He added, "What Trump intends to do should be done elsewhere and must not be at the expense of the Palestinian people's sacrifices. This is the land of our ancestors and parents, and much blood has been shed to protect it."

Supporters of President Trump also expressed strong reactions in the video comments, saying, "Although I am a fervent supporter of the president, this video is of very low taste," and "Please delete it immediately."

The controversial video is a 33-second clip posted by President Trump on Truth Social. The video, which contains a plan to develop the Gaza Strip into a resort area, is presumed to have been created using artificial intelligence (AI) and features figures believed to be President Trump, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Throughout the video, fast-paced background music plays, occasionally featuring lyrics such as "No more fear. 'Trump Gaza' has finally arrived here. Trump Gaza shines brightly. A golden future, a new life."

Meanwhile, President Trump unilaterally proposed the so-called 'Gaza Riviera' plan but faced strong backlash from the Middle East, including the Palestinian Authority (PA). On the 4th of this month, after a summit with Prime Minister Netanyahu at the White House, he revealed a plan for the U.S. to take control of the Gaza Strip, relocate Palestinian residents, and transform it into the 'Riviera of the Middle East.' This plan drew criticism from Palestinian residents, Arab neighboring countries, and the international community, with many condemning it as a form of 'ethnic cleansing.'
