Where Are the 55 'Local Food Direct Stores' in Gyeonggi-do?

Gyeonggi Province has disclosed store information for 55 local food direct sales stores within the province.

On the 27th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it has made public facility information such as store names, locations, contact numbers, and opening dates of local food direct sales stores, as well as management information including major sales items, number of participating farms, and number of safety inspections on the Gyeonggi Province website.

Earlier, in October of last year, Gyeonggi Province implemented the ‘Gyeonggi Province Local Food Direct Sales Store Registration System’ and accepted the first round of registration applications until December.

A total of 73 stores applied in the first round of registration, and after document review and on-site inspection by the responsible department, 55 stores that met registration requirements such as safety inspections and producer education were registered.

Information on registered stores can be found on the Gyeonggi Province website (gg.go.kr) under the sector-specific information (Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock, and Fisheries) section on the Gyeonggi Province Local Food Registered Direct Sales Store bulletin board.

Gyeonggi Province will also accept the second round of registration applications through a public announcement in March.

Stores that have not yet applied, as well as those that were not registered in the first round of screening, can apply again if they meet the registration requirements. Store operators wishing to register can refer to the public announcement on the Gyeonggi Province website (gg.go.kr) and apply.

Registered direct sales stores can use the registration logo and receive budget support for ▲store establishment ▲promotional events ▲construction of agricultural product production facilities ▲direct sales store consulting ▲participating farm education ▲agricultural product packaging materials ▲safety inspections, and more.

Bae So-young, Director of the Agricultural Food Distribution Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We hope that transparent provision of store information will increase the number of consumers who trust and visit Gyeonggi Province local food direct sales stores," and added, "We will strive to revitalize the consumption of local agricultural products so that both consumers and farmers can coexist."
