The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission announced on the 24th that it has issued a warning regarding complaints related to secondhand transactions.

According to an analysis of the government-wide complaint analysis system conducted by the Commission from February 2022 to January this year, approximately three years, complaints related to secondhand transactions totaled 10,744 cases.


Complaints related to secondhand transactions have shown a continuous increase since 2023. In particular, October of last year recorded the highest monthly number with 422 cases.


The main complaints included reports of fraud in secondhand transactions, reports of sales of prohibited secondhand items, and refund requests due to defects or damage in secondhand goods.


To prevent damage, the Commission proposed to relevant agencies measures such as strengthening systems to prevent fraud, intensifying crackdowns on prohibited secondhand items, and enhancing dispute resolution processes.
