Award Ceremony and Prize Money for Men's Curling Team Amid Warm Welcome

About 30 officials, including Kim Jusu, the mayor of Uiseong-gun, and Choi Hunsik, chairman of the county council, attended the event. The county presented the players with flower garlands and bouquets, and awarded a prize money of 18 million won to encourage their hard work.
The Uiseong-gun Office men's curling team, established only about a year ago in March last year, demonstrated outstanding performance and won a valuable silver medal. The residents proudly celebrated the team's achievement with great cheers.
The curling team players expressed, "We are grateful to Uiseong-gun for the generous support and the welcome ceremony," and added, "We will train even harder and do our best to achieve better results."
Mayor Kim said, "The Uiseong-gun Office men's curling team is a great pride of our county, and the players' passion and dedication have deeply moved the residents," adding, "We will spare no effort in systematic support such as domestic and overseas training camps so that Uiseong can establish itself as the center of Korean curling."
He continued, "We will cheer with the hopes of the residents so that the team can achieve excellent results at the upcoming World Men's Curling Championship in March."
As Uiseong-gun establishes itself as the center of Korean curling, expectations are rising for what other moving moments it will create.
