The Sacheon Aerospace Campus will first open as a temporary industrial complex campus at the Sacheon 2nd General Industrial Complex Complex Culture Center.

First- and second-year students of the Department of Aerospace Engineering will take basic science and general education classes at the Changwon Campus, and major practical training at the Sacheon Aerospace Campus.

From the third year, students will live in dormitories within the Sacheon Aerospace Campus and continue their studies.

Earlier, Changwon University selected 15 freshmen for the Department of Aerospace Engineering within the Global Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (GAST) through the 2025 academic year early admission.

Subsequently, the department plans to gradually increase the undergraduate quota to 30 in 2026 and 40 in 2030.

President Park Min-won said, “The approval for establishing the Sacheon Aerospace Campus signifies just the beginning,” and added, “We plan to actively cooperate with the local community and related organizations until the campus is firmly established.”

He also stated, “We will meticulously organize the Sacheon Aerospace Campus curriculum and devote all our capabilities to nurturing excellent and global talents who are essential in Korea’s aerospace field.”
