Efforts for the Advancement of Higher Education and Cultivation of Future Talents
Song Hacheol, President of Mokpo National University, has been appointed as the 26th president of the Council of Presidents of National Core Public Universities.
According to Mokpo National University on the 17th, the Council of Presidents of National Core Public Universities is composed of the presidents of 19 national and public universities in Korea and plays a pivotal role in establishing a cooperative system for the advancement of national education.
The appointment of President Song is expected to invigorate not only Mokpo National University but also national and public universities across the country, and to seek new perspectives and strategies beyond the existing educational system, thereby leading the future direction of national education.
President Song said, "Together with the presidents of national core public universities, I will take the lead in responding to the rapidly changing university environment and strive for the development of national higher education and the cultivation of future talents."
