Geochang-gun Conducts Major Disaster Prevention Training for Private Businesses in the Area

The County's Role and Efforts in Preventing Industrial Accidents Stand Out
for Creating Safe Workplaces

Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 17th that it conducted mandatory safety and health education for the prevention of serious accidents at the large training hall of the Future Agriculture Complex Education Center, attended by about 120 construction industry supervisors in the area.

This year marks the 4th year since the enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act and the 2nd year of its expanded application to workplaces with fewer than 50 employees. This education, the first of its kind conducted by a local government nationwide, was prepared by actively reflecting the opinions of private small and medium-sized enterprises to alleviate the inconvenience and financial burden of construction supervisors having to leave the area to complete the mandatory training.
