Explosion and fire at a multi-family house in Changwon late at night... 1 dead

At around 2:25 a.m. on the 14th, a fire broke out with an explosion at a multi-family house in Sarim-dong, Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam.

The fire department dispatched 51 personnel and 17 pieces of equipment and extinguished the fire by around 2:56 a.m.

According to the Changwon Fire Headquarters, about 10㎡ of the interior of the house, including a bed and refrigerator, were destroyed by the fire, and about 8㎡ of the exterior was scorched.

A woman in her 20s of Vietnamese nationality, known to be living alone on the first floor of the house, was found dead.

The police and fire authorities plan to investigate the cause of the explosion and the exact extent of the damage through joint inspections.
