Check Real Estate Standard Market Value at Once with a QR Code! Residents Can Handle Administrative Tasks Themselves Without a Proxy
Easy Inquiry Notices Distributed to District Office, Community Centers, and All Notary Offices Across Seoul
Expansion of Customized Notices Including Portable QR Cards, Fans, and Desk Magnets for Greater Convenience
Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) is distributing notices for easy real estate information inquiry using QR codes to all notary offices across Seoul, supporting anyone to handle real estate-related administrative tasks more easily and quickly.
The standard market value of buildings and land, as well as the publicly announced housing prices, are essential information that must be confirmed in various administrative procedures such as real estate acquisition tax reporting and registration applications. However, since each piece of information is scattered across multiple websites, residents experienced significant inconvenience in searching for it themselves.
In response, the district produced a notice using QR codes for the first time nationwide last year, receiving great feedback and being selected as an exemplary administrative case. Starting this year, it has been designated as a new project to produce the notices in a practical format and expand the distribution targets further.
The notice includes QR codes that allow immediate access to ▲building standard market value ▲land standard market value ▲publicly announced prices of multi-family housing (apartments, row houses, multi-unit houses) ▲publicly announced prices of individual houses (detached, multi-family). By simply scanning, necessary information can be viewed at once, enabling residents to handle real estate administrative tasks easily and conveniently without appointing a proxy.
It is also easily accessible via mobile phones and tablet PCs, allowing information to be checked anytime and anywhere.
The district will keep the notices permanently available at the district office and community service centers so that seniors and foreigners who have difficulty accessing information can also use them easily. Additionally, in cooperation with the Korean Notary Association, the notices will be distributed to over 2,300 notary offices throughout Seoul to increase their utilization in real estate administrative processes.
This year, besides the existing notices, portable QR code cards in the size of business cards, as well as desk magnets, will be additionally produced to enable many residents to conveniently check information. It is expected to reduce the time required for various administrative procedures such as real estate acquisition tax reporting and improve work efficiency.
Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, stated, “By gathering essential real estate information in one place on the easy inquiry notice, we can greatly reduce inconvenience not only for residents but for many others as well,” and added, “We will continue to promote various policies tailored to residents’ perspectives to provide practical convenience.”
Gwanak-gu, Creating a Happy and Fulfilling Life for Single-Person Households Together with Public and Private Sectors!
Call for Organizations and Institutions to Participate in ‘Gwanak-type Single-Person Household Support Project’ and ‘University-dong Middle-aged Single-Person Household Support Project’
Applications accepted by visit or email until the 28th, up to 10 million KRW support per project
Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) has recently taken active steps to support stable living for single-person households by meeting their diverse needs through cooperation between public and private sectors, as the proportion of single-person households among all households in the area has been increasing annually.
First, the district is recruiting participating institutions for the ‘Gwanak-type Single-Person Household Support Project’ targeting all single-person households in the region this year.
The call for proposals covers four areas: ▲housing and employment ▲safety ▲health and care ▲social networks. Reflecting last year’s ‘Gwanak-gu Donghaeng Talk’ survey results, the district plans to focus on the ‘housing and employment’ area, which showed high policy demand among single-person households.
Applicants should be non-profit corporations or non-profit organizations interested in single-person household issues. The district plans to select 3 to 4 projects and provide up to 10 million KRW per project.
The ‘University-dong Middle-aged Single-Person Household Support Project’ is a resident-participation budget project (dong-level project) proposed and selected by residents last year. Since University-dong has the highest number of middle-aged single-person households in the district, there is a strong need to support vulnerable or overlooked middle-aged groups.
Accordingly, the district is conducting a call for project operators and detailed project plans to enhance the effectiveness of this ‘dong-level project’ in cooperation with capable private institutions.
Non-profit corporations or non-profit organizations with operational space in University-dong or nearby areas can apply. The district plans to select 1 to 2 projects such as education and leisure/cultural program operations and provide up to 10 million KRW per project.
The application period is from the 17th to the 28th. After filling out the application form and project plan posted on the Gwanak-gu website, applicants can submit them by visiting the Single-Person Household Support Team at the Welfare Policy Division of Gwanak-gu Office or by email to the person in charge.
The selection results will be posted on the Gwanak-gu Office website and individually notified on March 28.
Park Jun-hee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, said, “This call for projects aims to solve various problems faced by single-person households and help them live more stable lives within the community,” and added, “We hope many institutions will take interest and actively participate.”
For more details, please check the announcement on the Gwanak-gu Office website or contact the Single-Person Household Support Team at the Welfare Policy Division.
Seongdong-gu Supports Up to 30 Million KRW Compensation Insurance for Electric Wheelchair Accidents... Improving Mobility Rights for Persons with Disabilities
Provides up to 30 million KRW coverage for accidents occurring while operating electric wheelchairs and scooters; automatic enrollment and cancellation for all registered disabled residents in the district
Claims can be made within 3 years from the accident date with no limit on the number of claims; reduces self-pay from 50,000 KRW to 30,000 KRW to ease burden
Seongdong-gu (District Mayor Jeong Won-oh) announced that it will support liability insurance for electric assistive devices up to 30 million KRW to improve mobility rights and reduce economic burdens for disabled residents living in the district.
Many persons with disabilities often face significant financial burdens in case of accidents due to economic difficulties, and unavoidable legal disputes can lead to social costs and conflicts. Accordingly, since 2023, the district has been supporting insurance enrollment for electric assistive devices to ensure sufficient compensation for victims.
The electric assistive device liability insurance covers third-party liability for accidents occurring while operating electric wheelchairs and scooters, providing coverage up to 30 million KRW per accident. Since last year, the coverage limit was increased from 20 million KRW to 30 million KRW, and the self-pay amount was reduced from 50,000 KRW to 30,000 KRW to lessen the burden on users of electric assistive devices.
The insurance period is from February 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026. Disabled residents registered in Seongdong-gu who use electric assistive devices are automatically enrolled without separate application. However, the insurance is automatically canceled if the resident moves out of the district.
Claims can be made within 3 years from the accident date with no limit on the number of claims, but coverage does not include personal bodily injury or damage to the electric assistive device itself.
Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, “We hope that supporting liability insurance for electric assistive devices will greatly help reduce the economic and psychological burdens related to accident handling for users of electric wheelchairs and similar devices,” and added, “We will continue to make efforts and provide support to guarantee mobility rights for persons with disabilities.”
