Support for Comprehensive Cleaning of One Cooling or Heating System
for 390 Leased Small Businesses in the District
Applications Accepted from February 17 to 21;
Eligible for Businesses with Annual Sales Under 200 Million KRW in 2023
Aims to Improve Hygiene, Extend System Lifespan,
and Enhance Energy Efficiency
Nowon-gu (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it will continue the 'Small Business Owners Cooling and Heating System Clean Care Support Project,' which achieved a 96.6% satisfaction rate last year.
The project aims to improve indoor hygiene conditions, extend the lifespan, and enhance energy efficiency by cleaning and inspecting cooling and heating systems used in small business establishments.
The support targets small business owners who lease business premises in Nowon-gu, whose business opening date is before February 10, 2023, and whose annual sales in the base year (2023) are less than 200 million KRW. A total of 390 locations will be selected for support. However, businesses that are ▲closed or suspended according to the National Tax Service records, ▲non-store businesses, ▲non-profit corporations and public facilities, ▲professional occupations and real estate businesses, and other loan-restricted industries are excluded from support.
Selection prioritizes applicants with lower annual sales in the base year. A professional company selected by the district will visit the business premises between March and April to disassemble, clean, and sterilize the filters and internal parts of the cooling and heating systems.
Regardless of the type, one cooling or heating system per store can be applied for. The application period is from February 17 to 6 p.m. on February 21, and applications can be submitted online through the Nowon-gu Office website or by visiting the Nowon-gu Office Job and Economy Division.
Required documents include ▲business registration certificate ▲2023 VAT taxable standard certificate or tax-exempt business income certificate ▲business lease contract, etc. Detailed application requirements and procedures can be found on the Nowon-gu Office website's announcement board.
Meanwhile, the district established the 'Small Business Support Team' in 2023 to support small business management and revitalize the local economy. The team conducts surveys on local small businesses, operates a visiting small business manager program, provides the Yellow Umbrella Fund incentive, and runs the Nowon-gu Small Business KakaoTalk channel, actively developing and implementing customized policies.
Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, "I hope this will be of some help to small business owners struggling due to the economic downturn," adding, "We will strive to prepare more active support measures to stabilize the management of small businesses, which are the foundation of the local economy."
Guro-gu Promotes Private Small Library Public Contest Project... Supporting Stable Operation
Programs, Volunteer Activists, Environment Creation, etc.
Guro-gu is recruiting small libraries to participate in the 2025 Private Small Library Public Contest Project.
The private small library public contest project was established to support small libraries, which are the foundation of community culture formation, to help their stable operation and provide residents with a convenient reading environment.
The support targets 51 private small libraries in the area that are open at least 6 hours a day, 4 days a week. Last year, 28 libraries received about 85 million KRW in support.
The project period is from April to November, and support is divided into three categories: ▲Program Operation Support Project (up to 15 facilities, maximum 2 million KRW per facility, 3 million KRW for associations) ▲Volunteer Activist Support Project (up to 12 facilities, maximum 4.16 million KRW per facility) ▲Environment Creation Support Project (up to 3 facilities, maximum 2.5 million KRW per facility).
One library can apply for two or more categories simultaneously.
This year, the self-payment rate was improved to reduce the financial burden on small libraries. For the Program Operation Support Project and Environment Creation Support Project, the self-payment rate was lowered from 10% of the total project cost to at least 5%, and the Volunteer Activist Support Project does not consider the self-payment rate when selecting.
Also, if the library operated the public contest project last year, the improvement performance after operation in all three categories will be reflected in the selection criteria. The Environment Creation Support Project gives priority to newly registered libraries.
Small libraries wishing to apply must submit related documents and apply online through the Local Subsidy Management System (Botaem e-System) by February 24. A Guro-gu official said, "We will continue to support residents' reading culture activities through small libraries," and added, "We look forward to the interest and participation of all related parties."
