Securing a Special Grant Tax of 60 Million KRW
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Heesu) announced on the 6th that it has been selected as an outstanding institution for the second consecutive year by receiving the highest grade, "Ga," in the 2024 Comprehensive Civil Service Evaluation jointly organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
The Comprehensive Civil Service Evaluation assesses 307 institutions, including metropolitan and basic local governments, central administrative agencies, and provincial and metropolitan offices of education nationwide. The evaluation covers ▲civil administration strategies and systems ▲operation of civil service systems ▲handling of civil complaints via the e-People portal ▲handling of grievance complaints ▲civil service satisfaction. Based on the overall score ranking, five grades (Ga, Na, Da, Ra, Ma) are assigned.
In this evaluation, the county received perfect scores in indicators such as ▲performance of the institution head in civil administration ▲provision of civil services for vulnerable groups ▲provision of civil service achievement incentives ▲protection of civil service staff.
Governor Kim Heesu stated, "This is the result of all our staff working together to provide better administrative services," and added, "We will continue to do our best to provide civil services that resonate with and satisfy our residents."
Meanwhile, Jindo-gun had received lower grades until 2022, but achieved the "Ga" grade for the first time in 2023. This year, it has been awarded the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's institutional commendation and a special grant tax (60 million KRW) as incentives for the second consecutive year.
