The son of Tae Young-ho, Secretary General of the National Unification Advisory Council, was cleared by the police of charges related to marijuana smoking.
On the 6th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they had decided not to prosecute Mr. Tae, who was booked on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Earlier, the police received a complaint that Mr. Tae had smoked marijuana in Thailand last September and had been conducting an investigation.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tae is also under investigation after being accused of fraud and other charges for receiving money from acquaintances under the pretext of virtual asset investment and failing to repay it.
