Targeting Over 8,000 Establishments in the County
Damyang County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Lee Byungno), announced on the 6th that, in cooperation with Statistics Korea, it will conduct the "2024 Establishment Census" from the 7th of this month to the 4th of next month.
The Establishment Census is a national statistical survey conducted annually under the supervision of Statistics Korea. Its purpose is to identify the distribution and structure of establishments nationwide and provide fundamental data for policy formulation and regional economic development.
The survey targets establishments engaged in industrial activities in Damyang. It covers nine items, including the name of the establishment, representative of the business, number of employees, and annual sales. The primary method of data collection will be face-to-face interviews, but telephone and online surveys will be used when necessary.
All collected data will be strictly protected under Article 33 of the Statistics Act and will be used exclusively for statistical purposes.
The results of the survey will serve as basic data for policy formulation by national and local governments, as well as for various economic statistical surveys. The finalized results will be published after December.
An official from the county stated, "We ask for the active cooperation of establishments so that this survey, which will serve as essential data for analyzing changes in Damyang County's industrial structure and establishing policies to revitalize the local economy, can be conducted accurately."
