Shinan County Council Chairman Lee Sangjoo Appointed Co-Representative of The Minjoo Shinan Innovation Council

"Discovering and Establishing Policies for Regional Development"

With the Democratic Innovation Council of Jeonnam (hereafter referred to as the Jeonnam Innovation Council) pushing for the launch of innovation councils in 22 cities and counties across Jeonnam, a preparatory meeting was held in Shinan.

According to the Jeonnam Innovation Council on the 5th, during the preparatory meeting held on the 3rd, participants pledged to safeguard the democratic republic and lead the construction of a new Korea by achieving victory in the presidential election, together with Lee Jaemyung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, under the goal of "eradicating insurrectionist forces with the people."

The meeting was attended by Bang Yongseung, National Innovation Council Standing Co-Representative; Cho Seongcheol, Jeonnam Innovation Council Standing Co-Representative; Kang Byeongguk, Co-Representative; Cho Seongsik, Policy Chairman; and Lee Yeol, Secretary General.

Lee Sangjoo, Chairman of the Shinan County Council, was appointed as Co-Representative of the Shinan Innovation Council, and the delegation resolved to begin full-scale activities.

The Jeonnam Innovation Council has set the following core tasks: ▲regime change and construction of a new Korea ▲establishment of a livelihood-oriented and practical growth economy ▲revitalization of the regional economy through balanced regional development ▲realization of a basic society through basic income ▲multinational pragmatic diplomacy and inter-Korean peaceful coexistence. The council plans to conduct active initiatives together with the residents of Jeonnam.

Co-Representative Lee Sangjoo stated, "We will actively discover and establish policies for the development of the Shinan region," while Bang Yongseung, National Innovation Council Standing Co-Representative, promised, "We will actively cooperate in discovering policy tasks for the development of the Shinan region."

The Jeonnam Innovation Council plans to hold its inaugural ceremony at the Boseong Dahyang Gymnasium on the 22nd, ahead of the national convention scheduled to take place at KINTEX in Seoul on the 1st of next month.
