Cheon Jae-hyun, the Constitutional Court spokesperson, stated at the regular briefing at 11 a.m. that day regarding whether the ruling on the dispute over authority would be delivered, "It is currently under review," and added, "No decision has been made yet." It is known that the justices held a deliberation in the morning and are discussing whether to deliver the ruling and the conclusion.
Previously, the Constitutional Court had scheduled to announce the ruling at 2 p.m. on the dispute over authority filed by Woo Won-shik, Speaker of the National Assembly, representing the National Assembly against Acting President Choi, and the constitutional complaint filed by Kim Jeong-hwan of the law firm Dodam.
Additionally, the Constitutional Court stated that "even if the dispute over authority or constitutional complaint is accepted, failing to follow the intent of that decision constitutes a violation of the Constitution and laws," and clarified, "It is not that the Constitutional Court's decisions lack compulsory enforcement power, but rather that it does not mean one can disregard those decisions."
Furthermore, the Constitutional Court also announced that it is reviewing the opinion submitted by President Yoon Seok-yeol's side urging recusal of Acting Chief Justice Moon Hyeong-bae and Justices Lee Mi-seon and Jeong Gye-seon.
