Trump Reiterates 25% Tariff Warning on Mexico and Canada: "Decision Tonight"

On the 30th (local time), President Trump told reporters at the White House regarding this matter, "We might do it, or we might not," adding, "We will probably make a decision tonight."

President Trump repeatedly warned that tariffs would be imposed if Mexico and Canada do not address the issues of fentanyl distribution and illegal immigration.

Earlier, at the end of November last year before his inauguration, President Trump demanded Mexico and Canada crack down on drugs and illegal immigration, threatening to impose a 25% tariff if these issues were not resolved. Subsequently, on his first day in office, the 20th, he announced that tariffs could be imposed on both countries starting February 1st.
