With the possibility of an early presidential election increasing due to the arrest of President Yoon Suk-yeol, Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party, sharply criticized, saying, "They only care about personal gain and not the public sentiment."
On the 28th, Na posted on her social media account, "Visiting various regions during the Lunar New Year holiday and meeting with the public, I received much support and concern," and opened by saying, "Especially regarding talk of an early presidential election, public sentiment is harsh." She conveyed that citizens criticized the current political situation with remarks such as, "The country is in crisis due to the Democratic Party's fraudulent impeachment and illegal investigation and indictment of the president; we should be fighting hard, so why is everyone only interested in the personal gain from an early election?" "Many people, including those in their 20s and 30s on the streets, have united their hearts, and the party's approval rating has somewhat improved," and "Why are opportunists stepping forward? Opportunists who sympathized with the Democratic Party's fraudulent impeachment must not prevail."

She continued, "Opportunists who lie down wherever the wind of power blows have ultimately caused the current national tragedy," and argued, "This is not about whether the president is liked or disliked." She added, "Only consistent conviction based on law and principles can protect the rule of law and liberal democracy and break the cycle of repeated tragic history," emphasizing, "Opportunism and pandering to public opinion will not do."
Furthermore, Na said, "Until today, I have visited various regions to offer Lunar New Year greetings," and expressed, "I extend my respect and gratitude to public officials on emergency duty during the holiday and to everyone working hard in their workplaces and communities." Along with this, she added, "Though these are difficult times, I hope we can renew our principles in our respective positions with a new mindset and create new hope together," concluding with, "Dear respected citizens, I wish you all a warm Lunar New Year and a happy new year."
