KIC Shares Warmth of Seollal with Seniors Through a Heartwarming Meal

Employees of Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) visited a senior welfare center ahead of the Lunar New Year to share warm meals and festive warmth together.

On the 24th, the KIC volunteer team carried out meal-serving volunteer activities at the Seoul Senior Welfare Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

KIC employees served special meals to over 1,100 seniors for lunch and assisted with washing dishes, leftover food disposal, and cleaning the facility after the meal.

Park Il-young, CEO of KIC, participated in the volunteer activities with employees, extended Lunar New Year greetings to the seniors visiting the center, and wished them good health.

CEO Park said, “We concluded the meal-serving volunteer activity meaningfully, hoping that the warmth of the holiday spreads throughout society,” and added, “We will continue social contribution activities in areas where attention and help are needed.”

KIC has been continuously conducting social contribution activities targeting future generations and vulnerable groups both domestically and internationally. The meal-serving volunteer activity at the Seoul Senior Center has been ongoing since 2018.
