Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar Measurements Every Monday Starting from the 3rd of Next Month
Iksan City in North Jeolla Province will offer blood pressure and blood sugar measurements, as well as health consultations, every Monday morning starting from the 3rd of next month for citizens visiting the public health center.
According to the city on the 24th, this campaign was organized to help people understand the normal range for blood pressure and blood sugar?key numbers for checking one's health?and to prevent the onset of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases through regular management.
Until November, the city will support blood pressure and blood sugar tests through the campaign and provide health consultations based on the test results. In addition, health management booklets will be distributed, and education on recording and managing blood pressure and blood sugar will be provided.
Lee Jinyun, Director of the Public Health Center, stated, "We hope this campaign will serve as an important opportunity to prevent not only hypertension and diabetes but also cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases through regular blood pressure and blood sugar checks," adding, "We ask for the active interest and participation of our citizens."
