Gyeonggi-do Icheon City announced on the 23rd that it will provide the first round of 500 million KRW in consumption support funds for the local currency 'Gyeonggi Icheon Sarang' starting from the 10th of next month.
The consumption support funds will be given to consumers who pay with the Icheon Sarang local currency card in the form of real-time points equivalent to 20% of the payment amount. The maximum limit per person is 30,000 KRW. Payments will end once the budget is exhausted, and policy allowances such as the basic farmer allowance, excluding recharge funds, are not eligible for the consumption support funds.
The received points can be used at designated affiliated stores, and the usage period is two months from the date of issuance. Points will automatically expire after the validity period. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Icheon City Hall Job Policy Division.
The city plans to provide consumption support funds in a total of four rounds this year, with the second round scheduled for May.
