HanmiGlobal and Warm Together Achieve 100th "Space Welfare" Project in Vietnam

Celebrating the 100th Home Improvement Milestone in Vietnam
Transforming Living Spaces for Low-Income Households with Disabilities

HanmiGlobal, a construction project management (PM) specialist, and the social welfare foundation Warm Together announced on January 23 that they have completed their 100th home improvement project for low-income households with disabilities in Hai Duong Province, Vietnam.

The beneficiary of the 100th project is Bui Van Tuan, a low-income Vietnamese individual with disabilities. He suffers from both intellectual and mobility disabilities. His small and dark home had an aging roof that leaked during the rainy season, and the exterior walls were plagued by mold and cracks, making daily life difficult.

HanmiGlobal and Warm Together replaced the roof and windows, and installed a new kitchen and bathroom. Tuan said, "Now that the mold is gone and bright light comes in through large windows, I can live in a much better home," adding, "I am happy that the space has been transformed to allow people with disabilities to move around conveniently."

HanmiGlobal and Warm Together launched this initiative in Korea in 2010. Since 2013, they have expanded it to countries such as Nepal, the Philippines, and Vietnam. They have also provided support to the families of Korean War veterans in Ethiopia and Turkiye.

Kim Jonghoon, chairman of Warm Together, stated, "Reaching the 100th milestone is a great source of pride," and added, "We will continue our efforts to provide practical support that improves the quality of life for people with disabilities both domestically and internationally."

Warm Together, in partnership with HanmiGlobal, has improved 1,433 spaces in Korea and 100 spaces overseas. Through collaborations with organizations such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation, they are working to improve the living environments of households with disabilities and veterans' families both in Korea and abroad.
