The Resident Participation Budget Project Joint Design Team is a system that maximizes residents’ opinions on small-scale local development issues, resolves problems in advance during the field survey stage, and prevents unnecessary budget waste.
This education aimed to revitalize the local economy by reflecting locally produced goods in the design stage and to strengthen the integrity awareness of public officials.
The education was conducted to actively incorporate locally produced goods from the design stage when promoting projects in 2025, contributing to local economic revitalization and enhancing public officials’ integrity awareness.
The main educational contents included reflecting locally produced goods during the design of resident participation budget projects, operation of routine audits and contract reviews, explanations of the Anti-Graft Act and Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, and explanations of Pocheon City’s three major public official misconduct eradication measures and service discipline.
Pocheon City expects to achieve effects such as improving the incorporation rate of locally produced goods in designs, revitalizing the local economy, and increasing the contribution of public projects to the region through this education.
Additionally, it anticipates effects such as systematic management of the use of locally produced goods in the design stage and enhancement of public officials’ integrity awareness.
The Pocheon City Audit Officer said, “I hope this education will serve as an opportunity for public officials to take greater interest in reflecting locally produced goods in designs and fostering integrity awareness,” and added, “Through this, we expect to achieve results such as revitalizing the local economy and increasing the efficiency of public projects.”
