Gangdong-gu Hosts 22 Sister Cities and Counties for the Event
Gangdong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Soo-hee) will hold the "Sister City Specialty Products Direct Market" at the Gangdong-gu Office Open Yard on the 23rd and 24th of this month to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
This direct market will feature 37 farms recommended by a total of 22 cities and counties, including domestic sister cities: ▲Samcheok-si, Wonju-si, Hongcheon-gun in Gangwon-do ▲Pocheon-si in Gyeonggi-do ▲Nonsan-si, Buyeo-gun, Cheongyang-gun, Eumseong-gun, Jincheon-gun in Chungcheong-do ▲Geochang-gun, Gyeongsan-si, Bonghwa-gun, Sangju-si, Yeongyang-gun, Uiseong-gun in Gyeongsang-do ▲Goheung-gun, Gokseong-gun, Yeonggwang-gun, Wando-gun, Jeongeup-si, Jinan-gun in Jeolla-do, as well as Yeongwol-gun in Gangwon-do, with which new exchanges are being promoted.
The district plans to alleviate the economic burden on residents caused by rising prices every year through this direct market and support the purchase of ritual items and holiday gifts at affordable prices.
