According to the legal community on the 15th, President Yoon's side submitted an application to the Constitutional Court to postpone the hearing date. It is known that the reason is that President Yoon was arrested and underwent suspect interrogation with his lawyers until late at night, making it difficult for him to attend the hearing the next day.

President Yoon was arrested at 10:33 a.m. that day and transferred to the PCC, where he began interrogation around 11 a.m., finished around 9:40 p.m., and was then escorted to Seoul Detention Center. President Yoon is expected to undergo PCC interrogation again on the morning of the 16th after spending the night at Seoul Detention Center.

Earlier, on the first hearing date on the 14th, President Yoon did not attend, citing safety concerns as the PCC was attempting to execute the arrest warrant.

Article 52 of the Constitutional Court Act stipulates that if a party does not attend the hearing date, a new date shall be set, but if the party does not attend the newly set date either, the court may proceed with the hearing without attendance.
