Professor Park stated, "In 2025, the Year of Eulsa, I plan to run the association with the spirit of 'Trade is the only way to save the Republic of Korea,' embodying the principle of trade for national prosperity (貿易保國)." He added in his inaugural speech, "I will strive to create a young and dynamic association with a proactive attitude that prioritizes action over words for the development of the association."

The Korea Trade Association was established in 1974 to promote academic advancement, policy proposals, and cooperation among industry, government, and academia by researching theories and policies related to trade, international economics, international business, international commerce, electronic trade, and overseas regions. It is currently the leading academic society in the field of trade with over 6,000 active scholars.

Additionally, the association holds international and domestic academic conferences and policy seminars annually. It publishes the internationally renowned SSCI-level English journal, the Journal of Korea Trade, eight times a year, and the KCI-registered Korean journal (Trade Review) six times a year.

This year, academic conferences are scheduled to be held at the Seoul Trade Center in April and December, and in Busan in June and October.
