The Safety Management Supervisor encompasses the roles of supervisors designated by the 'Enforcement Decree of the Industrial Safety and Health Act' and the safety management officers and persons in charge by field under the 'Enforcement Decree of the Construction Technology Promotion Act.' This system integrates previously dispersed roles to clearly define the responsible party for on-site safety management and to more efficiently prevent and manage industrial accidents at construction sites.
Each site’s Safety Management Supervisor performs comprehensive roles including ▲confirming the application of Dongbu Construction’s 7 Safety and Health Golden Rules ▲resident management of hazardous work sections and daily safety patrols ▲participation in risk assessments related to compliance with safety and health procedures and construction schedules ▲immediate reporting of accidents and participation in recurrence prevention councils.
In addition, Dongbu Construction will conduct the '2025 Winter Safety and Health Manager Job Training' twice this month. The first session was held on the 6th and 7th, and the second session will take place on the 20th and 21st. The winter job training is held annually to enhance managers’ job competencies and to facilitate communication and information exchange among employees.
The training program is composed of practical content focused on the field, including this year’s safety and health goal achievement plans, compliance with mandatory safety and health-related laws, and response measures in case of accidents.
Under the safety and health slogan of 'Safety First, 1% Instruction 99% Verification Thoroughness,' Dongbu Construction has set this year’s company-wide safety and health goals as 'Zero Major Industrial Accidents' and 'Advancement of Safety and Health Systems Based on Risk Assessment.' The company also pledged to operate without accidents throughout the year and held safety prayer ceremonies at the company and business headquarters levels.
A Dongbu Construction official stated, "Creating a safe working environment to prevent accidents is our top priority, and we are doing our best in safety management through continuous inspections and thorough verification," adding, "We will maintain our reputation as a safe and trusted construction company."
