This newly launched project this year aims to discover and brand regionally specialized performance content utilizing local cultural resources, thereby establishing a foundation for revitalizing regional culture centered around arts centers.

The project will be carried out in two types: New Production Type and Brand Planning Type.

The New Production Type supports the planning, production, and operation of new performance content specialized in local cultural resources or genres in stages. In the first stage, 20 million KRW is provided for planning and showcase production, and in the second stage, an additional 70 million KRW is provided to the finally selected institutions to produce the main performance, totaling 90 million KRW. The selected arts centers must discover and produce high-quality performance content and perform at least twice.

The Brand Planning Type provides support of up to 250 million KRW for branding genre-specialized or local cultural resource performance content that has been staged at arts centers for at least two years. Selected arts centers must plan a themed performance series (weekly) with two or more works as regionally specialized brand performances to activate local culture and tourism, and hold at least five performances.

Collaboration with local art groups located in the arts center’s region is mandatory for both types. Participation through the arts center’s own production team is also possible. However, national and public art groups are excluded.

Arts centers wishing to apply can do so through e-Nara Doseum during the application period. The selected arts centers through screening will operate the project for 10 months from March to December. Detailed information can be found in the announcements on the association’s official website.
