The Special Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters stated on the same day, "We began executing the arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol but were unable to complete it due to unlawful obstruction of official duties by the Security Service."

Earlier, the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) attempted to execute the president's arrest warrant but was blocked by the Presidential Security Service, resulting in failure.
