Cheongung-myeon Hyanggyo-ri Area... 21.1 Billion Won to Be Invested by 2027
Imsil County in North Jeolla Province announced on the 2nd that it will carry out the Baekicheon local river maintenance project in the Hyanggyori and Gugori areas of Cheongung-myeon.
The county plans to invest a total project cost of 21.1 billion KRW to maintain 2.7 km of river and rebuild seven bridges in the Hyanggyori area of Cheongung-myeon over three years, from this year until 2027.
This project aims to widen the narrow river width and improve the low embankment height from Hyanggyori to Gugori in Cheongung-myeon, preventing disasters caused by river flooding. For the safe passage of residents, seven old bridges that hinder water flow will be demolished and reconstructed.
County Governor Sim Min said, "Through this project, we expect not only to protect the lives and property rights of county residents from disasters such as flooding of houses and farmland during the rainy season, but also to contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
