Park Jong-hoon, Superintendent of Education for Gyeongnam Province, visited the National 3.15 Democratic Cemetery and the joint memorial altar for the victims of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident in front of the Gyeongnam Provincial Office on New Year's Day 2025, accompanied by about 30 senior officials from the headquarters.

In the memorial book at the National 3.15 Democratic Cemetery, Superintendent Park wrote, "We will faithfully teach the spirit of the 3.15 martyrs who resisted state violence to our people."
In the memorial book at the joint altar in front of the provincial office, he left a tribute saying, "We express our deepest condolences and vow that everyone must work hard to ensure that such an accident never happens again."

Superintendent Park said, "It was because of the noble sacrifices of the martyrs who laid the foundation of democracy in our country that our students have been able to grow happily on the foundation of future education," adding, "I pray for the repose of the victims and extend my deepest condolences to their families."
He also pledged, "I will work even harder for the future we envision together with the children of Gyeongnam."
