Taean County Governor Ga Se-ro: "Taean Marine Healing Center Will Lead the Rise of the 'New Marine City'"

In New Year's Address: "Will Continue Efforts for Future Development Based on Achievements So Far"

Gaseo, the governor of Taean County, Chungnam, stated on the 1st, "The Taean Marine Healing Center will lead the rise of Taean as a new marine city," adding, "The center is currently progressing smoothly in its construction process and is expected to be unveiled in the second half of next year."

On this day, through his 2025 New Year's address, Governor Ga emphasized, "The 'Offshore Wind Power Complex,' which will become a new role model for public-led offshore wind power projects, is increasing the participation of fishermen, who are the actual stakeholders, in the second phase of the public-private council, thereby enhancing the momentum of the project."

He continued, "We will ensure the inclusion of the Taean~Seosan Expressway in the third expressway construction plan and the Naepo·Chungcheong Inland Railway in the fifth national railway network plan, making this year the starting point for connecting wide-area transportation networks."

He also stated, "Based on our achievements so far, we will continue efforts for future development with a focus on fostering new industries and balanced regional growth."

Governor Ga further mentioned the phased shutdown of the Taean Thermal Power Plant, saying, "We will strongly urge the government to construct alternative energy power plants and enact special legislation, while boldly pushing forward the 'Taean I the Dream Project,'" and added, "We will also accelerate preparations to welcome tourists, including the operation of the 'Year of Visiting Taean.'"
