Daebo Construction Secures 1.6 Trillion KRW Orders This Year... "Largest Performance Since Establishment"

Achieving '1 Trillion Won in Orders' for 2 Consecutive Years
Outstanding Performance in Public Construction Orders

Daebo Construction announced on the 26th that it secured orders worth 1.6544 trillion KRW this year, marking the largest performance since its establishment.

Daebo Construction released the tentative order performance for 2024. For the second consecutive year following last year, it surpassed 1 trillion KRW in orders. This is the fifth time since 2017 that the company has exceeded 1 trillion KRW in orders.

The company stood out in public sector orders. In the first half of this year, it secured a contract worth 224.1 billion KRW for the “Chuncheon~Sokcho Railway Construction Section 3 Subgrade and Other Works.” The Chuncheon~Sokcho railway construction project is being promoted to improve accessibility to the Seoul metropolitan area from the Gangwon region. The total length is 93.7 km, from Chuncheon Station, the terminus of the Gyeongchun Line, through Hwacheon~Yanggu~Inje~Baekdam~Sokcho, and Daebo Construction is responsible for constructing approximately an 11 km section from Hwacheon to Yanggu. Completion is scheduled for 2029. In addition, the company secured contracts for the “Seoul-Yangju Expressway Private Investment Project,” “Saewool Headquarters Staff Housing Construction,” and “Gwangmyeong Hakon Public Housing District Site Development,” among others.

In the second half of the year, following its selection as the preferred negotiator for the Namyangju Wangsuk A-27 Block Private Participation Public Housing Construction Project in Gyeonggi Province, Daebo Construction consecutively secured contracts for the Daejang~Hongdae Metropolitan Railway Private Investment Facility Project Construction, apartment construction projects at Gyeongbuk Cheongdo and Daegu Yeonho A-3 Block, Seogwipo Comprehensive Gymnasium, Kintex Exhibition Hall 3, and the Public Support Private Rental Project in Deungchon-dong. The Daejang~Hongdae Metropolitan Railway is a project ordered by the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) to improve transportation convenience for residents of the 3rd New Town. It spans a total length of 20.1 km from Bucheon Daejang New Town to Seoul Hongdae Entrance Station, including 12 stations and 1 vehicle depot. Daebo Construction is responsible for one of the five sections of the construction.

The company also secured orders for educational facilities, including the Green Smart School Build-Transfer-Lease (BTL) projects for Andong Seobu Elementary School and two other schools (Hamchang Elementary School, Geoncheon Elementary School), as well as Busan Naeseong Middle School and one other school (Busan Girls' Middle School) Green Smart School BTL projects.

From 2020 to 2022, Daebo Construction ranked in the ‘Top 10’ among all construction companies for public construction orders for three consecutive years.

A Daebo Construction official stated, “Despite the downturn in the construction market, we recorded the largest order performance in history by leveraging our strengths in the public sector. Since continuously strengthening our sales capabilities, including recruiting CEO Kim Seong-ho in September, we plan to focus on securing high-quality order volumes and attracting excellent talent going forward.”
