A heartwarming story has been shared about a child who left a donation and snacks in front of a police station district office on Christmas and then disappeared.

On the morning of the 25th, a special gift arrived at Madeul District Office of Nowon Police Station in Seoul from an elementary school student. Around 9:10 a.m. that day, a child placed a paper bag in front of the district office and hurriedly disappeared. Before the police officer could ask what it was, the child only said, "It's nothing. Please enjoy!" The paper bag left by the child contained four 50,000 won bills, a letter with a Christmas tree drawn on it, Choco Pie, Vita 500, and other snacks.
The child, who revealed that they were a 6th grader about to graduate from elementary school, wrote in the letter, "I wanted to express my gratitude to the police officers who protect our neighborhood," and "I have been saving my allowance for years to help neighbors in need. After seeing cases of anonymous donations to the police station, I decided to do the same." The neatly handwritten letter with a pencil included a request: "Please use the 200,000 won I saved to help neighbors in need."
This child's good deed moved the police officers on duty at Madeul District Office on Christmas. Sergeant Lee Si-cheol said, "In these turbulent times, the child's heartfelt donation of money saved with small hands is touching," and added, "I also thank the parents who raised the child properly." He smiled and said, "Rather, adults seem to be learning from children."
The Madeul District Office announced that the donation from this child will be used to help neighbors in need within the community. A police official emphasized, "Since this gift was given with a pure heart, we will use it meaningfully."
