Lee Dongryul Appointed as Head of Pohang Steelworks

POSCO Group has carried out its regular organizational restructuring and executive appointments for 2025, including key executive appointments at the Gwangyang Steelworks.

According to Gwangyang Steelworks on the 24th, as of January 2 next year, Lee Dongryul, the current head of Gwangyang Steelworks, will be transferred to the position of head of Pohang Steelworks.

Ko Jaeyoon, the Deputy Head of Ironmaking at Gwangyang Steelworks, will assume the role of Head of Gwangyang Steelworks, and Kim Heebong, the Head of Production Technology at Gwangyang Steelworks, will move to the position of Head of Sales and Production Coordination.

While Jang Jungho, Deputy Head of HSE at Gwangyang Steelworks, remains in his current position, the main executive appointments are as follows: Jung Sangkyung, Deputy Head of Administration (Gwangyang) → Head of Management Support Division at POSCO International; Park Jongil, Head of Management Support at SNNC → Deputy Head of Administration (Gwangyang); Lee Seungbok, Head of Rolling Production Technology Group, Production Technology Strategy Office → Deputy Head of Process Quality (Gwangyang); Choi Jiyoung, Head of Safety and Disaster Prevention Group (Gwangyang) → Deputy Head of Ironmaking (Gwangyang); Park Jongil, Deputy Head of Rolling (Gwangyang) → Advisor; Lee Hunhui, Head of Cold Rolling (Gwangyang) → Deputy Head of Rolling (Gwangyang); Bang Seokju, Deputy Head of Facilities (Gwangyang) → Head of Plant Business Division at POSCO E&C; Kim Byeongok, Head of Ironmaking Facilities (Gwangyang) → Deputy Head of Facilities (Gwangyang); Lee Baek, Head of Electric Furnace Business Promotion Team (Gwangyang) → Advisor; Kim Sangyun, Head of Production Technology Planning Group, Production Technology Strategy Office → Head of Electric Furnace Business Promotion Team (Gwangyang), among others.

Meanwhile, the inauguration ceremony for the new head, Ko Jaeyoon, is scheduled to be held in January.
