Korean female table tennis medalist Shin Yu-bin (20, Korean Air) donated 100 million won to help those in need.

Management GNS announced on the 24th that Shin Yu-bin attended a donation ceremony held on the 20th at the Community Chest of Korea building in Jung-gu, Seoul, and donated 100 million won. The ceremony was held together with the Shinhan Financial Group donation event.

The donation ceremony was arranged by Shin Ok-dong, chairman of Shinhan Financial Group, and it was reported that Shin Yu-bin participated in the Community Chest of Korea donation. At the event, she said, "I want to deliver a small but warm warmth so that everyone's daily life can become happy."

With this donation, Shin Yu-bin joined the 'Honor Society,' a group of people who have donated more than 100 million won to the Community Chest of Korea.

Meanwhile, Shin Yu-bin is a medalist who won two bronze medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, proudly ending Korea's 12-year 'no medal' streak in table tennis and returning home with honor.

Shin Yu-bin also attracted public attention with her active donation activities. After being selected as the model for Binggrae's 'Banana Flavored Milk' following the Olympics, she donated 100 million won from her advertising model fee to the Korea Elementary School Table Tennis Federation. It was also revealed later that when she was 16, she gifted sneakers worth about 6 million won to a child welfare facility in Suwon City with her first-ever monthly salary, which became a hot topic.
