Um Eunhyang, a YouTuber with 510,000 subscribers, revealed that she received threats of legal action from some netizens after satirizing trot singer Lim Youngwoong's "Mwayo" remark.
On the 18th, Um Eunhyang posted on her social media account a photo of her preparing Seolnal food, saying, "A few photos that had been sitting in my own funny folder." She said, "While others prepare for Christmas, I get a step ahead and prepare for Seollal," adding, "With just pancake mix and a stainless steel spatula, the holiday atmosphere is instantly created. This is the true readiness of our times." She then added, "But isn't it too early? Others are singing Christmas carols? Mwayo. Am I a singer? Let me raise my voice," satirizing Lim Youngwoong's "Mwayo" remark.
The next day, Um Eunhyang posted an additional message on SNS, saying, "'Mwayo'?is this a forbidden word? Or did someone patent it?" She lamented, "Where can I live in fear? They threaten to sue me for censorship that even the state doesn't do." She also said, "Don't threaten me again for using (Lim Youngwoong's song) as background music. It's another singer's version, but 'Mwayo'," tagging the song title "Sarang-eun Neul Domangga" (Love Always Runs Away). "Sarang-eun Neul Domangga" is a remake released by Lim Youngwoong, originally sung by singer Lee Moonse.

Lim Youngwoong replied, "Mwayo," and A criticized, "The whole nation is gathered over the impeachment motion against the president who declared martial law unconstitutionally. I don't expect you to raise your voice, but this is really insensitive. Aren't the people who experienced martial law your main consumer base?"
