On the 19th, Air Busan held a donation ceremony for the funds raised from the 'In-flight Love Fundraising Campaign' at the Air Busan headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Busan, attended by Min Gyeong-je, Head of Management at Air Busan, Park Seon-young, Secretary General of the Korean Red Cross, and other related officials.
At the ceremony, Air Busan donated a total of 30 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross, combining the in-flight fundraising amount and a matching grant from the company.
The donation will be used to support medical expenses for vulnerable children in the region and refugee relief funds.
The 'In-flight Love Fundraising Campaign' is a representative social contribution project that Air Busan has been conducting with the Korean Red Cross since 2012. After being suspended for about six years following the last opening ceremony in 2018 due to COVID-19, the campaign has now resumed.
Min Gyeong-je, Head of Management at Air Busan, said, “We are grateful for the warm support from Air Busan customers. We will continue to fulfill our necessary roles to repay our customers' support with meaningful actions.”
In addition to this 'In-flight Love Fundraising Campaign,' Air Busan actively engages in various forms of support for organizations such as the Milal Welfare Foundation, Busan Child Welfare Association, Green Umbrella Busan Regional Headquarters, and Busan Briquette Bank. The company also continues vibrant social contribution activities, including an employee salary rounding-up campaign and regular volunteer activities by the cabin crew volunteer club ‘Blue Angel.’
