At this meeting, 10 tap water evaluation committee members and 7 related officials attended to discuss key agenda items including △2024 raw and purified water quality inspection results and purified water facility operation status report △2025 evaluation committee activity plans △consultations on water quality management and purified water facility operations.
In particular, the committee discussed technical measures to improve tap water quality based on △implementation status of technical diagnosis results of the water purification plant △certification matters of water purification treatment standards △2024 water quality inspection results.
Additionally, the committee thoroughly reviewed transparent information sharing and safety enhancement measures, and proposed various policies that citizens can directly experience, such as support projects for aging water pipes and strengthening promotion of the tap water safety confirmation system.
The committee members positively evaluated that Namyangju City's water quality inspections and purified water facility operations are systematically managed according to relevant laws, emphasizing the need for continuous efforts to provide tap water that citizens can trust more.
An official from the Waterworks Department said, "Namyangju City is doing its best to provide clean and safe tap water," and added, "We will make every effort in water quality inspections and purified water facility operations so that citizens can use tap water with peace of mind."
The city plans to actively reflect expert opinions to strengthen the water quality inspection system and purified water facility operations, and to provide safe tap water to citizens through promotion and support projects, realizing a trusted water supply service.
