Anseong-si Selected as an Excellent Institution in Provincial Bicycle Policy Evaluation

On the 19th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it was selected as an excellent institution in the evaluation of Gyeonggi Province's bicycle usage activation policy.

This evaluation is conducted by the province targeting 31 cities and counties, assessing bicycle accident prevention safety measures, development of policies to spread bicycle usage culture, and awarding outstanding entities.

This year, the city subscribed to bicycle insurance for the safe use of bicycles by citizens and conducted 'Visiting Bicycle Safety Education' for 3,300 students from 16 elementary and middle schools. Along with this, various activation policies were implemented, such as operating a 'Visiting Bicycle Repair Center' to reduce repair costs for bicycle users.

Recently, Anseong City also participated in the 'Development of Bicycle Free Travel Courses' contest hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, and was selected among the '60 Bicycle Free Travel Courses.'

Kim Bora, mayor of Anseong City, said, "Next year, we will continue to implement various bicycle usage activation projects to alleviate urban traffic congestion, prevent environmental pollution, and solve parking problems."
