Guri-si Selected as an Excellent Institution in the Ministry of Environment's Han River Basin Management Fund Performance Evaluation

Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 18th that it was selected as an excellent institution in the Han River Watershed Management Fund performance evaluation hosted by the Han River Basin Environmental Office under the Ministry of Environment in 2024.

As a result of the evaluation by the Han River Watershed Management Committee on 7 project areas and 35 management offices of the 2023 Han River Watershed Management Fund projects, based on project management appropriateness, goal achievement, and performance excellence, Guri City received an 'excellent' rating in projects such as the Water Source Management Area Management Project, Non-point Pollution Reduction Project, and Environmental Basic Facilities Installation and Operation Project, and is scheduled to receive a prize of 10 million KRW.


In particular, the Water Source Management Area Resident Support Project (Han River Watershed Riverside Waste Collection Project) was selected as an excellent institution for two consecutive years, actively improving the riverside landscape and water quality, and was evaluated as providing a pleasant environment for local residents.


Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City stated, “We will continue to actively promote the efficient implementation of the Han River Watershed Management Fund projects, advancing community development and water quality improvement activities to become Guri City, a city of natural beauty where nature and humans coexist.”
