Seongdong-gu to Hold One-Day Fundraising Event for '2025 Hope Ondol Warm Winter' on the 23rd

Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) will hold the '2025 Hope Ondol Warm Winter One-Day Fundraising Event' on December 23rd from 3 PM at the 3rd-floor auditorium and the plaza of the district office.

Hosted by the Seoul Community Chest of Korea and the Seongdong-gu Community Security Council, this event will feature various programs such as donation and gift presentation ceremonies, donor interviews, congratulatory performances, photo zones, and exhibitions to promote active fundraising participation centered on local businesses, organizations, and residents. The event will be broadcast live throughout Seongdong-gu via D'Live TV.

In the 3rd-floor auditorium, the program will focus on fundraising activities including donation and gift presentation ceremonies, donor interviews, performances, information on support projects for low-income residents, and a micro-donation zone.

In particular, the opening stage by the children of Seongsu-dong Gonjigonji Jamjam Daycare Center, showcasing their honed musical skills, is expected to play a significant role in uniting the hearts of the residents.

At the district office plaza, food booths and street performances will continue so that residents can comfortably and enjoyably participate in the one-day fundraising event. This year, all proceeds from the sale of popular winter snacks for all ages, such as steamed buns (Hoppang), fish cakes (Eomuk), and tea, will be fully donated to support neighbors in need in Seongdong-gu through the Seoul Community Chest of Korea.

Additionally, card terminals, kiosks, and QR code donation boxes will be installed to allow residents to easily participate in donations. To create a warm and joyful atmosphere, Christmas-themed tents and street performances will also be held so that residents can enjoy winter snacks while staying comfortably.

Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, "I ask for the interest and participation of all residents so that the one-day fundraising event can be a meaningful time to provide a warm winter to neighbors in need despite the cold weather." He added, "We will continue to strive to make Seongdong-gu a warm and mature society that reaches out to marginalized neighbors."
