Namyangju Family Center Successfully Hosts Happiness Sharing 'Cultural Festival Happy Day'

Namyangju City Family Center (Director Lee Ju-yeon) announced on the 16th that it held the 'Cultural Festival Happy Day,' a happiness-sharing event with families, at the Jeong Yak-yong Library Performance Hall on the 14th.

At this festival, over 300 participants including sponsors, volunteers who have worked with Namyangju City Family Center, and families gathered to share the year's achievements and express gratitude.

The event featured attractions such as a club exhibition and photo zone, followed by performances including violin by children from immigrant backgrounds and K-pop dance. The program proceeded in the order of △Korean language class graduation ceremony △musical performance △viewing of the family center achievement video △awards ceremony and scholarship presentation △and essay presentations.

Ham Do-hoon, Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation at Kyungbok University, said, "I hope this occasion to conclude the year with the local community will bring everyone together in harmony and unity," adding, "We will strive even harder to promote the health of all families in Namyangju through diverse family services."

Mayor Joo Kwang-deok stated, "Thanks to the excellent volunteers and sponsors this year, the Family Center was able to carry out more diverse and meaningful family projects," and added, "I hope today’s event was a time for everyone to once again feel the importance of family."

Mayor Joo also added, "Namyangju City will spare no support and services to ensure that immigrant-background families are not marginalized and can settle stably in Korean life."

Namyangju City Family Center supports the health and growth of families through customized family programs such as counseling, education, and culture, and works in cooperation with the local community to prevent and resolve family issues.
