The Republic of Korea Baekgang Forum Holds Baekgang Education Awards Ceremony

The Baekgang Forum of the Republic of Korea announced on the morning of the 16th that it held the 2024 Baekgang Education Awards ceremony at the K-Square Building.


The Baekgang Education Awards have been given since last year to individuals who have achieved remarkable results in various fields of society through education. Awards are presented in diverse categories such as character, social integration, climate change, medicine, mentoring, culture and arts, and IT technology.

At this year’s ceremony, the Baekgang Education Awards were presented to ▲ Koo Suhwan, Chairman of the Lee Tae-seok Foundation, for Best Instructor & Character Education ▲ Lee Jeho, Chief Medical Advisor at ROKIT Healthcare, for Medical Innovation Education ▲ Kim Cheolgyun, Director of Dosan Academy, for Social Integration Education ▲ Ha Ji-won, CEO of Econow, for Climate and Environmental Education ▲ Kim Ingyo, Management Advisor at Inseong Information, for IT Innovation Education ▲ Lim Choongsik, Senior Advisor at Dentons Lee Law Office, for Culture and Arts Education ▲ Kim Seokbong, CEO of Seokbong Toast, for Mentoring Education ▲ Lee Geunsul, Operating Committee Member of Baekgang Forum, for Win-Win Cooperation Education. Appreciation plaques were awarded to ▲ Jo Sunhee, Head of Woongjin ThinkBig Udemy Business Unit ▲ Park Sua, CEO of M&M ▲ Lee Jimin, CEO of MyKey.


Koo Suhwan, Chairman of the Lee Tae-seok Foundation, widely promoted Father Lee Tae-seok’s love and spirit through films and lectures, greatly highlighting the importance of character in our society.


Lee Jeho, Chief Medical Advisor at ROKIT Healthcare, has contributed to advanced medical technology and systemic innovation through continuous medical education while serving as a doctor at the Nuclear Hospital and a professor at Samsung Hospital for over 50 years.


Kim Cheolgyun, Director of Dosan Academy, greatly contributed to social integration in Korea through the Dosan spirit of honesty and unity, and Ha Ji-won, CEO of Econow, achieved the outcome of nurturing over 300,000 youth leaders over the past 15 years by collaborating with international organizations such as the United Nations.


Kim Ingyo, Management Advisor at Inseong Information, spread digital transformation and global management spirit to domestic and international companies, and Lim Choongsik, Senior Advisor at Dentons Lee Law Office, consistently spread positive influence to young people through his lecture “Culture and Arts That Changed My Life.” Kim Seokbong, CEO of Seokbong Toast, has made significant contributions to mentoring education for over 10 years, and Lee Geunsul, Operating Committee Member of Baekgang Forum, contributed to the development of win-win cooperation education through dedication and service.


The Baekgang Forum of the Republic of Korea, founded in 2013 as a social contribution forum, has held a total of 67 breakfast lectures over the past 11 years and has continuously conducted donation lectures and volunteer activities for marginalized groups. Dr. Yoon Eungi, who founded the Baekgang Forum, is a PhD in Business Administration who served as the 2nd and 3rd President of Seoul School of Integrated Sciences and Technology and the 24th President of the Central Officials Training Institute. Drawing on his extensive experience and expertise in industrial education, school education, and public official education in Korea, he leads the Baekgang Forum.


The chairman of the Baekgang Forum emphasized, “Good education is the core driving force that creates a better world,” and added, “When the country falls into conflict and chaos, true education that leads honesty and harmony is desperately needed.”
