On the 11th, the Dangjin City Council in Chungnam formed its first-ever Special Personnel Hearing Committee and officially began the personnel hearing process for Kim Yangsu, the candidate for president of Dangjin Urban Corporation, who was nominated by Dangjin City.
The Special Personnel Hearing Committee consists of a total of six members, with Kim Bonggyun appointed as chairperson and Cho Sangyeon as vice-chairperson. The committee members are Kim Deokju, Yoon Myungsoo, Jeon Youngok, and Kim Sunho.
This personnel hearing is being conducted in accordance with the purpose stated in the ‘Dangjin City Council Personnel Hearing Ordinance,’ aiming to verify the qualifications and suitability of the heads of public institutions under Dangjin City, and to comprehensively evaluate the candidate’s expertise, integrity, and policy execution abilities to determine their overall appropriateness.
At the first Special Personnel Hearing Committee meeting, the council tabled the following agenda items: election of the chairperson and vice-chairperson, adoption of the implementation plan, and request for document submission.
Furthermore, at the second Special Personnel Hearing Committee meeting scheduled for the 18th, the committee plans to verify the qualifications and capabilities of the candidate for president of Dangjin Urban Corporation, and then adopt the progress report at the third committee meeting on the 19th.
Kim Bonggyun, the chairperson, said, “I am honored to be entrusted with the important role of chairing the first-ever personnel hearing in the Dangjin City Council,” and added, “Through this hearing, we will thoroughly verify the qualifications of the head of the public institution to ensure transparent and fair appointments.”
