Gwangju Shinsegae, 'Jeongnam Mimyunggwa' Pop-up Store Until the 19th

Sweet Potato and Potato-Based Emergency Crop Breads Gain Popularity

Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Donghoon Lee) announced on the 11th that it will hold a pop-up store for the famous bakery ‘Jeongnam Mimyunggwa’ on the basement first floor of the main building until the 19th.

Jeongnam Mimyunggwa started in Gangneung and gained popularity, with its signature product being bread made from staple crops such as potato, sweet potato, chestnut, corn, and green onion.


The staple crop bread is characterized by its cute shapes, fillings made from domestically grown agricultural products, and a chewy texture made from glutinous rice. It is especially a dessert that the whole family can enjoy healthily and happily with natural ingredients.


The main products are sold at 3,500 KRW for potato bread, sweet potato bread, corn bread, and chestnut bread; 3,800 KRW for onion bread, garlic bread, and green onion bread; and a comprehensive set (10 pieces) for 32,000 KRW.
