Actor Sunwoo Eun-sook's (65) older sister, Ms. A, has come forward to testify, claiming that broadcaster and former announcer Yoo Young-jae (61) sexually harassed her multiple times.

On the 10th, the Criminal Division 1 of the Suwon District Court Seongnam Branch (Presiding Judge Heo Yong-gu) held the second trial for Yoo Young-jae, who is accused of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (forcible molestation within family relations). Ms. A, who appeared as a witness that day, confessed to being forcibly molested by Yoo Young-jae on October 23 of last year. She testified, "It was the day my younger sister came home after staying overnight as a panelist on a program. I was about to close the door with the dog and turn off the lights to sleep." She continued, "The dog was on the right side of the bed, and I was on the left, but Yoo Young-jae lay down toward my side, suddenly got up, and moved his body toward the dog. Then he pushed and pulled me, saying, 'Come here. I'll hug you once. Even older sisters want it sometimes.'"

She added, "When I asked, 'Did you come home early to do this?' he answered, 'Yes.' I kicked him and said, 'Get out quickly. Why do you keep doing this to me? I'm your sister-in-law, and how many times have you sexually harassed me?' Then he changed his words," and continued, "'I go golfing with Sunwoo Eun-sook every weekend in Jeju, but I feel really sorry and thankful that you always stay home and clean.' So I said, 'Then you should say thank you with words. What is this behavior? Get out.' When I kicked him, Yoo Young-jae went outside," she claimed.

Ms. A also recalled, "One day, my sister asked me to wake Yoo Young-jae at 10 a.m. and prepare breakfast for him." She said, "At 10 a.m., he still hadn't come out, so I knocked on the door, and he was sitting on the bed naked, saying, 'Come in.' He always covered himself with a towel he carried." She explained, "I told him, 'Are you crazy? Come out quickly and eat,' and when he came out, Yoo Young-jae followed wearing only underwear." She added, "With one hand holding the kitchen door and the other lifting his genitals and testicles, he said, 'At 60 years old, isn't this okay?' I almost fainted."

Ms. A said, "I thought he went to put on shorts afterward, but he came from behind and hugged me tightly. It was morning, and I was wearing cotton pants, but I felt something pressing from behind." She said, "'This is sexual harassment. I am your sister-in-law. If you behave like this anywhere, everything Eun-sook has built up over 45 years will collapse,' I scolded him and went into my room." Regarding why she did not tell her sister about being forcibly molested by Yoo Young-jae, Ms. A said, "When my sister divorced (actor Lee Young-ha) the first time, there were many scandals. I saw her living alone and lonely for 18 years," and mentioned, "She often told me, 'Yoo Young-jae is someone God sent me.'"

Previously, Yoo Young-jae and Sunwoo Eun-sook remarried in October 2022 but divorced in April after one year and six months. Afterwards, Sunwoo Eun-sook's side issued an official statement saying, "Two days after the divorce, we learned through media reports that Yoo Young-jae had hidden a common-law marriage and got married," and filed an annulment lawsuit. The scandal deepened when it became known that Yoo Young-jae was accused of forcibly molesting Sunwoo Eun-sook's older sister. Yoo Young-jae denied the charges at the first trial held on the 12th of last month, stating, "I did not forcibly molest her." Furthermore, after stepping down from a radio show due to the incident, he said through his YouTube channel, "They framed me with a sexual harassment accusation that will never be erased, like a punishment," and added, "If I die like this, the dirty sexual harassment will be accepted as fact, so I decided to fight legally."
