Every year, commendations for exemplary social service agents, who serve as role models for diligent service in each half of the year, are awarded to those selected upon recommendation by the heads of their service institutions. This year, a total of 15 people, including 6 recipients in the first half, have been awarded.
In the second half of this year, a total of 9 agents were selected and awarded from among about 150 social service agents serving at the Uijeongbu City Hall as the representative service institution, various departments and offices, community service centers, and social welfare facilities in the jurisdiction.
In particular, among them, Park Ju-min and Jang Ju-young from Uijeongbu City Nanuri Food Bank saved an elderly person who lost consciousness and collapsed while delivering donated goods in September, boosting pride in social service agents.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “I am proud that there are social service agents who not only take the initiative in performing their given roles but also show positive influence to those around them,” adding, “We will always strive to improve the working conditions and morale of social service agents.”
